The theme of the project days was \u201cBody Images.\u201d During these two days, students from class 5AG explored the topic through a guided museum visit as well as a range of language-based and creative tasks. A particular focus was placed on communication in English.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the exhibition at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, they learned about prevailing role models in the 16th century and how these were depicted in paintings. They then sketched their favorite artworks and presented them on the second project day. In the afternoon, they worked in small groups along Mariahilfer Stra\u00dfe, researching gender roles and how the body is represented in advertising, for example.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day, the students engaged with selected works by influential modern artists such as Sherman, Lassnig, and Abramovi\u0107, exploring what makes their artistic approaches distinctive and how they use the body in their work. They then continued working on their own projects on the topics of gender roles and beauty standards, which they presented in the afternoon. Overall, the project was very successful, and the students were highly engaged throughout.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
